This is the Tri-ang Minic Ships model of a panamax container ship in China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL) livery similar to a series of 4,250 teu ships operated by CSCL which were built by Samsung Shipbuilding & Heavy Industries Co Ltd in the early 2000's.

The casting is a third generation "Bay" Class container ship with a capacity of 2,436 TEU designed and built by A G Weser of Bremen, West Germany in the late 1970's.

The model is marked on the underside with the Tri-ang Minic logo, "Modern Edition", model number P 622 and the description Bay Class Container Ship.
